"Our first horse and the beginning of Mirage Arabians."

More Than Just A Horse by Kim Morris
When I was age six you were born,
From the great blood of Naborr, you stood between
stallions until you were four.
You were more than just a horse,
you came to me when I was eleven,
like a dark grey streak across the sky,
you were five and I was in heaven.
As you raised me your dapples appeared,
you could run like the wind but I never feared.
Those few little tricks you learned just for me,
kiss ,bow and shaking your knee.
Soon came the horse shows,
Saddleseat and all,
we came a long ways from those few little falls.
Taking me to US Nationals, Canada and back,
I never wanted a new horse,
to me you never lacked.
You gently took my sons through lead line and walk trot,
at age 29 who would of thought.
When I was 35 we set you free,
who else but God could have gave you to me.
We shall plant an oak beside your grave,
as it grows, the pain shall fade.
For you were more than just a horse,
with those big brown eyes, so much knowledge inside.
Your deep strong nicker for your food in the morning,
I will never forget you voice.
I know there are many happy moments to be,
just a part of my soul left with "Friendly".

We'll Miss You "Friendly"!
